Is destined for:
-execution of the mounting, repair, emergency restoring works of a contact
-system of the electrified railways;
-mounting and dismantling the contact system masts, cargo loading and unloading;
-supplying with electricity the consumers in a field condition;
-executing the shunting works and transporting the teams to their workingplaces.
Motor-rail car is self-propelled two-axles vehicle where a bearing cab with a crane is mounted on the front bracket, and a mounting platform – on the tail bracket. The cradles available on a crane allow to replace the insulators and to do the other works on an adjacent track and on the air lines on a field side of the masts. A telescopic tower is available on a mounting platform for repair and mounting works on the same track 5 m higher a contact wire.
