Description of the machine
Machine mod. 6963-021/23 is destined for a “side frame” detail machining. It provides complex machining the surfaces for friction plates in a bolster opening – milling and drilling both new cast workpieces and the details restored by weld deposition. Machining a side frame for bogie type 18-100 and its modifications and the bogies of prospective designs having increased axle load is possible without readjusting the machine.
Executable operations:
- milling the surfaces in a bolster opening for friction facings;
- drilling eight holes in a bolster opening for friction facings.
It is applied instead of two machines 6963-021 and 6963-023.
It consists of two milling modules and one gadget. Milling and drilling machining is executed sequentially.
